A Surprising Start: roof door code
The roof door is STAY AWAY. The lock stays in English if the game language is Spanish or French.

Four clues and the route
The second word contains a U, written as a double-U. The phrase starts with ST. The whole phrase has three A letters. Both words end with the same letter. Together those clues spell STAY AWAY. GameSpew prints that word, and the Spanish rooftop page prints the same English letters.
Leave the headmaster’s office, take the stairs, pass the two doors, reach the roof door, go up, and use the door at the top. Players who translate the phrase into QUÉDATE LEJOS or RESTE LOIN get a lock that will not turn. The Spanish page calls that out on purpose.
An English page often cited for this room returned an access error when it was fetched, so the second confirmation here is the Spanish guide that quotes it, plus GameSpew. I am calling that two sources, one of them a reprint of the route.

What is the roof code?
STAY AWAY.
Does the Spanish version change the word?
No. The lock still wants the English letters.
