Start with the room that has you stuck

Chapter 1 is the demo route and the full-game opening: the tram, the classroom, the roof lock and the clock tower. The roof door wants the English words STAY AWAY. The tower bell notes are A C A E D G A. Those two rooms are the ones Spanish-language searches ask about most.

GameSpew lists eight chapters and 50 named rooms. Aprasi counts 15 main escape rooms and stops the chapter list at seven. I keep both counts, because one is a room list and the other is a “main chamber” list. ShowGamer also stops before chapter 8.

What changed since the 2022 game

The first Escape Academy is a menu of timed rooms. This one is a campus you walk, with an optional no-timer mode. The US list price is the same $19.99. Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass include the sequel on day one. PlayStation 5 is a separate purchase. There is no Switch version of the sequel. The 2022 game does have a Complete Edition on Switch.
